At the conclusion of our 2024 fundraising campaign, the Little Elves Foundation was able, thanks to its dozens of volunteers and donors, to wrap 5,826 Christmas gifts! At the time of writing, a large portion of the gifts have already been distributed and several shipments are making their way to their final destinations in the West and the Maritimes.
As has become customary since the pandemic, nearly half of the gifts were wrapped at home by teams of experienced elves. The other portion was carried out on the premises of Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf on December 7 and 8. 95 people — including employees of Larochelle Conseil, Microsoft, SOQUIJ and Amazon — took turns to carry out this delicate operation.
None of this would have been possible without the invaluable support of Formedica and our wonderful long-time partners: Le Marché des saveurs du Québec, which hosts our booth every fall; Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf, which has housed the Wrapping Workshop since 2004; Paramount Paper Ltd., donor of the shipping boxes; Dialog Insight, our newsletter sending platform; and Groupe Robert, which once again took charge of the free transportation of gifts to Quebec City and Toronto. We were also fortunate to have GLS Canada as our second transportation partner to cover all other destinations in Canada, as well as Location Légaré for our transportation in Greater Montreal.
