In 2019, the Little Elves Passed the 5,000 Gifts Mark!

Thanks to a brigade of more than 250 volunteers, the Little Elves Foundation wrapped 5,118 gifts during the weekend of December 6, 7 & 8. Doing so allowed for the beneficiaries of 55 organizations providing supports and services to people affected by HIV-AIDS across Canada to have brighter Holidays this year.

Accompanied at the piano by René-Pierre, and with breaks for door prizes draws, the wrapping progressed with everyone in good spirits. Among the the volunteers, three notable groups: Larochelle Groupe Conseil, Widows Sons, Steamatic.

The 2019 campaign could not have concluded so successfully without the help of longstanding partners: Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf which welcomed the workshop for a 16th year; Jouets Choochoo, taking care of children’s gifts; Paramount Paper providing shipping boxes; Groupe Robert and Kindersley Transport for their logistical support; Carolle Piché-Burton, Le Gras Dur et Café Barista for the food and coffee that kept our volunteers going; without forgetting the Marché des saveurs du Québec, our incredible host at Marché Jean-Talon during the Fall; Chez Nino, who stores the propane essential to the production of our sweet & spicy nuts; and John Stalker Christmas Trees who welcomes Santa Claus and the Elves the last weekend of November.

We thank the numerous private and corporate donors (notably the Caisse de bienfaisance des employés et retraités du CN) who brought essential contributions to the 2019 campaign. Thanks to these donations and the efforts of hundreds of volunteers, the Foundation can now say that it has given away more than 60,000 presents since its inception. Something to be proud of, no?

We are so thankful for the wonderful Fondation Les P’tits Lutins / The Little Elves Foundation. Every year we look forward to the gifts they send for our clients. Knowing that someone, somewhere cares enough to take the time arrange for them to receive a present means the world to our clients. Especially when the gift is a really warm pair of gloves and a set of hand warmers, which we all need during the winter here on the prairies.
