Financing

The Foundation, whose budget surpasses $35,000 a year, receives no subsidies and pays no salaries. Its directors are all volunteers.

To finance the procurement, wrapping and shipping of thousands of holiday gifts, the Foundation holds fundraising activities, principally:

  • the preparation and sale of sweet & spicy nuts at our Jean-Talon Market kiosk during Fall months;
  • our Spring & Autumn yard sales;
  • occasional benefit evenings.

The Foundation is also a recognized charity (no. 8583 14487 RR0001) and accepts donations for which tax receipt are emitted.
